i honestly wish it was snowing right now and not just cloudy. soon? maybe. i can not believe that there are only three more days left for the first quarter of my 2nd year! i think i have worked pretty hard and i am so ready for christmas break!

this is a 9 hour study but some how it looks less complete than a few older ones. i’m learning how not to be afraid of paint and how to experiment. today was a good day, i slept in till 8:30(late for my standards) cleaned my room, made breakfast while rocking out to blink-182, in my pjs, singing at the top of my lungs. watched monk while i crocheted my scrapghan (afghan made of scrap yarn from old projects) and cried. i talked for hours with my lil’ sista. amazing i tell you! the clouds are threatening to pour freezing rain again (i guess this is all preparation for portland!) but i don’t care. random fact: there is a black cat sitting on my car. To: alecne- i hogged all the chicken pox….. i got it twice! ;)

epic self portrait fail! set to a soundtrack of Beirut, belle and sebastian, and Mew. hmmm took about an hour before i forgot proportions and started messing with tone and fun stuff. now to make dinner and go to church! Edit: this totally could have been GPOYW!!! how could i have forgotten that! haha p.s. church was good :)

this is an older painting (6hr study) i was contemplating not posting it but what ever! it was hard to get the green color but i tell you the relations between the yellows in this piece are off and will remain thus until the end of time! finally finished my Family’s Christmas package and got that in the mail. what a relief! now i need to finish all the other half started projects i have on my bedroom floor! i should go do that …. Happy Chirstmas! is it too early to say that?

i enjoy listening to Playradioplay and wrapping scrap yarn into balls late into the hours of the night. which is what i will be doing for the majority of the rest of my day off…… i found a marble wrapped into one of the yarns! that made my night.

there is one study in between this one and the last but i don’t like it so i may or may not post the photo. 6 hrs and i like it. it was really hard to pull off because all of the tones are sooooooo subtle but soooo vibrant! the book was a pain but since i like books i let it get away with causing a headache (just this once though) the colors in the ribbon were certainly no walk in the park either haha…. im off to decorate a tree with colorful lights and a few home made ornaments!

Happy Belated thanksgiving! it was a good thanksgiving! filled with fantastic people and great food! i made apple pie as my contribution to the feast! its all over but now i am looking forward to a few days off in ashland and some drawing. then christmas!!!! and then the New year!!! then march…. smiles and sighs….. after that june and cornerstone…. then portland…. i did i forget to mention that. The Academy i go to is moving to PORTLAND OREGON!!!!! (which means im moving too) im so excited for a new adventure. in short i am looking forward to the future and all that God has in store for me. in other words i have a lot to give thanks for….
